Lingual braces are a type of invisible braces. Other invisible braces on the market include clear aligners or plastic or ceramic braces. But lingual braces attach to the back or lingual side of the teeth, closer to the tongue. The parts that make up braces, brackets, wires, and elastic bands are attached to the back of the teeth. Others can't see them unless you open your mouth wide.
